SSC CGL 2022 Eligibility Criteria
SSC CGL qualification is graduation from any stream from a recognized board.But there are some specifications according to the posts which is mentioned here.Candidates must check SSC CGL Age limit before they apply for the exam.
SSC CGL age limit
The age limit for SSC CGL 2022 is 18-32. However, there are many posts that ask for a particular age group to apply. So, candidates must be very careful while applying for the posts.
For the posts for which age limit is 18-27 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004. |
For the posts for which age limit is 20-30 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1992 and not later than 01-01-2002. |
For the posts for which age limit is 18-30 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1992 and not later than 01-01-2004. |
For the post for which age limit is 18-32 years | Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1990 and not later than 01-01-2004. |
SSC CGL qualification
SSC CGL qualification is graduation from any recognized institute in any stream. However, there are some posts that require the candidates to have some desirable qualifications. Here we have tried to solve all confusion regarding SSC CGL qualification.
Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer:
Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.
Junior Statistical Officer:
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; Or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II:
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.
Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT):
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualifications: Degree in law from a recognized university
Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC):
Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Desirable Qualifications: Minimum one-year research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution
Degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university.
SSC CGL 2022 Selection Process
SSC CGL Selection Process has four tiers. SSC CGL Tier-1 is a computer-based test with multiple type questions. Each tier is designed to assess the ability of the candidate. SSC CGL Exam Pattern for each tier is different and is mentioned below.
SSC CGL Tier-1:
This is an online test with four sections General Awareness, English Language, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude. 2 marks are awarded for each correct answer and .25 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier-2:
SSC CGL Tier-2 will have 4 papers with 100 questions in Quantitative Ability, Statistics, Finance and Economics and English Language & Comprehension. All papers are of 100 marks except for English language and comprehension which is of 200 marks. All the candidates who qualify the tier-1 are eligible to appear for the SSC CGL tier-2. Candidates with Economics background can take the Finance and Economics paper.

SSC CGL Tier-3:
SSC CGL Tier-3 is of descriptive nature and will consist 100 marks. The paper can be taken in either Hindi or English. You will have 60 minutes to complete this paper.

SSC CGL Tier-4:
SSC CGL Tier-4 will check your computer skills. It will consist of DEST & CPT Test which will be used to assess your hand in computer.
DEST: Candidates will have to type 2000 words in 15 minutes on computer. This is more of a speed test.
CPT: In this test candidate’s computer skills like Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Generation of Slides are checked.

SSC CGL 2022 Application Process
SSC CGL Application process includes several steps that need to be performed to successfully submit your application for the exam. SSC CGL exam fees is Rs. 100 for general/OBC Category males and SSC CGL application fees for females is Rs. 0. SSC CGL apply online on the official website.
- Applicants must visit the official website https://ssc.nic.in to fill the form.
- Then Fill the information asked in the form.
- Then you have to upload your photo.
- In the online Application Form, candidates are required to upload the scanned color passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). The photograph should not be more than three months old from the date of publication of the Notice of Examination. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).
- The photograph should be without cap, spectacles and both ears should be visible.
- Once you submit the form, you will have to pay.
- Choose the payment choices if you want to pay online or through offline challan.
- Once you make the payment your application process is over.
Application Fees
Fee payable: ₹100/- (Rs. one hundred only).
Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
